The current situation of accusation and counter-accusations in Pakistani politics has actually opened the grand Pandora's box that politicians have been threatening each other of for decades. Not sure if any political party has ever done Pakistan any favor, but the recent collective effort to remove Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and the extended PPP government, has triggered a Mexican Standoff which will probably take down the whole gang of bandits. Each other's secrets and real crimes that this band of old friends and colleagues has been guarding and protecting for almost 60 years seems to be at the brink of being unleashed like the spirits of the Ark of Covenant in the final scenes of Raiders of the lost ark. The question is will all the "evil forces" get fried like they did in this scene? Or will the nation get burnt yet again?

Pakistan cannot afford any adventurism at this juncture; there are more critical issues such as formulating a consensus oriented strategy to counter the Taliban who would benefit from any chaos that is to proceed if democratic forces fail.
