Google Knols Wikipedia
Google’s Knol is finally out of private beta. I “LOVE” wikipedia… but I like “Knol” even better. Wikipedia has claimed to “police” content, but we all know that it’s not always been very effective. Google has chosen the “moderated collaboration” model, which I think is much more effective. I agree that Wikipedia has been a source of “knowledge” and Google’s Knol could end up having a lot of noise, but it was really up to the reader to validate the information from other sources.

This kind of model is proving really good for Google as it adapted same strategy for Google Map Maker by letting people moderate there own neighborhoods
