Upgraded my iphone to a brick

Sine I had dished out hard earned money, I assumed Lord Steve Jobs would respect that and be a slightly better devil than the devil aka Bill Gates himself. But little did I know that I had not paid to buy a phone but paid to SELL my sanity to Steve boy.

To cut it short, I happily plugged in my shiny new iphone 3GS 16GB Model MB715LL.  I was quite pleased to see my Itunes 8.2.1.6 quickly notice the new addition and offer to upgrade my firmware to the latest version.  I being used to Blackberry’s (aka the gentle sheep) decent behavior of seamlessly upgrading its software, and in my innocence agreed to let Itunes run the upgrade.  And thus start the download of some 80MB worth of data.

I went away to take a shower and indulge in other associated activities, only to come back about half an hour later and find this very strange screen.
