Man gets 10 years for raping stepdaughter

KARACHI: Additional District and Sessions Judge East Sanaullah Khan Ghori awarded 10 years imprisonment on Wednesday to a man found guilty of raping his stepdaughter. Ghori announced the verdict after hearing the final arguments from both counsels and examining evidences produced by the prosecution. According to the prosecution, the accused, Zafar, subjected his 14-year-old stepdaughter, Imtiaz Bibi, to sexual assault on December 27, 2007 at his house in Gulistan-e-Johar police station limits. Dr Fareeda Ayaz submitted the medical report, confirming the accused had raped the victim. The testimonies of witnesses, including the mother of the victim, corroborated the accused’s role in the commission of the offence. ppi
